Großenbrode – A Hidden Gem on the Bay of Lübeck
Großenbrode sits at the outermost tip of the Wagrian Peninsula between Heiligenhafen and the island of Fehmarn. The town is one of the driest and sunniest areas in Germany – with around 2,200 hours of sunshine per year. Its exposed position, surrounded by the sea on three sides, creates a special atmosphere: fresh sea air, sweeping views across the Bay of Lübeck and a total coastline of 15 kilometres. Despite its qualities, Großenbrode is not a mass tourism destination but a peaceful seaside resort with genuine relaxation character.
