Diedrichshagen is a district of the Hanseatic and university city of Rostock, immediately west of Warnemünde. This officially recognised seaside resort is much quieter than its famous neighbour and is surrounded by fields, meadows and the Stoltera coastal forest.
Along the shore, natural beach, pebbles and sandy sections lie below wooded cliffs. The Stoltera coastal forest protects valuable habitats and offers scenic walking and cycling paths. The landscape feels more unspoilt here than at Warnemünde's broad main beach.
For a livelier outing, Warnemünde's Alter Strom, lighthouse and promenade are quickly reached by bicycle, bus or car. Diedrichshagen itself is about peace, nature and short routes to the sea, while also providing a good base for Rostock and the Mecklenburg Baltic coast.
Coastal forest, cliffs and diverse habitats define the Stoltera. Walking trails pass through shady beech woodland and repeatedly open to views across the Baltic Sea.
